JESUS CHRIST
Meet Jesus. Know His love.
Who is Jesus?
The Son of God.
Jesus came as the Son of God. John 3:16 tells us that God sent Jesus, His only son to the world. He was born of the virgin, Mary, and lived a sinless life.
The Savior of the World.
Jesus came into the world in order to save the world from sin. Sin entered in during the Garden at Creation and the fellowship was broken, but Jesus came to restore the fellowship by dying on the cross for our sins.
The Risen King.
After Jesus died on the cross, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 tells us that he then rose from the dead as the Risen King. He defeated death and made a way for us to spend eternity with him in Heaven.
The King of kings.
Jesus not only came, died, and rose from the dead but he is also coming back as the King of all kings and the Lord of all lords. Philippians 2:10-11 tells us that even knee will bow and proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord.
What is the Gospel?
The Problem of Sin
We were made for life with God, but sin—our bent toward living life our own way—has broken that relationship. Sin touches every part of us and every part of our world, leaving guilt, shame, and separation from God (Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:2; Romans 6:23).
The Need for a Savior.
We can’t fix this on our own. No amount of effort, morality, or religion can bridge the gap. That’s why God sent Jesus—fully God and fully human—to live the life we couldn’t, die for our sins, and rise again so we could be restored to God (John 3:16–17; Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4).
The Free Gift.
God offers forgiveness, new life, and a fresh start as a gift—received by grace through faith in Jesus, not by our works. Anyone who turns to Him and trusts Jesus as Lord is saved and brought into God’s family (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10; John 1:12).
How do I Follow Jesus?
Following Jesus begins with trusting him as Lord and Savior—turning from the life that separates you from God (repentance) and placing your hope in Jesus’ death and resurrection for forgiveness.
