Prayer

A Praying church

We believe prayer is more than something we do—it is part of who we are as followers of Jesus.

Prayer is how we learn to live in the presence of God, bring our needs before Him, intercede for one another, and align our hearts with His. At First Baptist Church of LaPlace, we want to be a people who pray together, pray for one another, and seek God in every season.

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”
— Colossians 4:2

MOnthly Prayer Meeting

How you can be praying

Pray that we would faithfully follow Jesus, make disciples, love one another, and proclaim the gospel.

Pray for LaPlace and the River Parishes—for families, schools, churches, first responders, leaders, businesses, and neighbors.

Pray for those who do not yet know Jesus and for opportunities to share the hope of the gospel.

Pray for those who are hurting, grieving, sick, discouraged, or walking through difficult circumstances.

We'd love to pray for you.
