Hey everyone!

I’m Dylan Newton. I’m the Pastor of Creative Arts here at LPFBC! I’ve been here since October of 2020. Before I moved here, I lived in Decatur, AL. You might be thinking, “Wait, isn’t Pastor’s last name Newton?” Well, yes! I serve alongside my dad here at LPFBC. We break out the boxing gloves in the office sometimes. Currently I attend Liberty University Online and after I finish there, I will attend New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. A little bit about me is that I have a German Shephard puppy named, Apollo! If you come to the church office at the correct time you may see him from time to time! I also sing (obviously!), and I play the piano. I’m also a coffee fan!

I’ve always loved music. Music to me is one way the God reaches people. A sermon is great, but some people tune it out. Music speaks to everyone. In some way, everyone is touched and moved by music. Music is the language that is understood by all. God uses music to change lives in so many incredible ways. My freshman year of college was spent at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. It was there at Samford where I felt God’s calling to go into ministry. From there, he opened doors.

So, what do I do at LPFBC? Well, a lot! I oversee the Creative Arts Ministry (CAM) here at LPFBC. CAM is the worship ministry. CAM is made up of the Technology Team, Worship Team, and the Media Team. Not only do I oversee CAM, but I also plan the Sunday Services alongside Pastor choosing the songs and help structure the service. I also plan special things for Christmas and Easter. I also do stage designs and things like that! Moreover, I also run the social media platforms and the church website. I’m the one behind the screen!

All in all, I have a passion for people and a love for this community. I’m excited to be a part of LPFBC and can’t wait for what’s to come!

I’d love to meet you and chat with you! My email is dnewton@lpfbc.org. My office phone number is 985-359-6259. Email me or call me and we can meet in my office, grab some coffee, or anything else you can think of!

Godspeed,

Dylan
